νεροκολοκυθιά

story & personality
Calabash is a bovine-shaped critter who has recently begun to frequent The Library.
She is an avid reader. I shouldn't disclose this, but, let's just say that if you need to reference poetry and you see her in the reading room, perhaps you should come back another time. Admittedly, sometimes she can be a little too enthusiastic. Impatient is not the right word. Excitable. Especially about learning. It does delight me to see patrons connect so deeply with our materials, but I have caught her several times in the stacks, which is closed except for Library personnel. ...Yes, I suppose that means only for me. She has seemed to take a liking to... whoever that is. The two can often be seen together locked in what one can only assume to be conversation. |

i'd love it if you made art of Calabash!
she is a bovine-shaped critter with gangly legs and a swishy tail and swishy ears. she has a pair of large horns on her head and bone-carved earrings hanging from her ears. she walks on all fours.
her face is a carved calabash. the grooves and holes change with her expression, so feel free to have her emote this way.
she is adorned with boughs of plants: stretchberry (Forestiera pubescens), wild bergamont (Monarda fistulosa), and red amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus).
she can speak, but you seem to understand her noises just fine. she sounds like wind through wood, water in a gourd, the laughter of your first treasured mentor.
she is welcome to be drawn in stand-alone pieces, or depicted with any of the library's other characters.
no outside character interactions or writing at this time, thank you!
