story & personality
a great and ancient cow spirit who wanders the world. they carry a lantern filled with an oil-like substance that causes crops to grow, wounds to heal, and fire to be lit endlessly. it tastes of ambrosia, the fountain of youth, your most treasured memory and your hardest goodbye. it is said that her horns tilled the first fields, taught people how to make and share. sightings are that of mythology; she is seen as an omen of radical change to come. they are rumored to be made of the same incredible nectar they carry from the swinging lantern at their neck, and as such, are sought after with fervor. they travel the world throughout time, ceaseless and devotional. they take many forms. they can be found anywhere, at the right moment.
have you seen her? have you known her gifts?

appearances & permissions
she can appear as any species of bovine! cows, oxen, bison...anything like that. she can appear with any dimorphism (horns, etc), or manifest at any age. however, one can always tell of her presence by her characteristic solid grey hide. she always appears with a star-shaped marking on her forehead. you can stylize it in any way you wish, or have it be any color, so long that it is on the forehead.
she is also often seen with a lantern filled with brilliant, impossibly bright gold-white light. if she is distressed, the lantern can be cracked or leaking. the lantern can be any style, design, or from any time period ranging from ancient history up to and including modern day.
i'd love it if you made art of starrain! she is welcome to be drawn in stand-alone pieces.
no character interactions or writing at this time, thank you!
